The Research Center for International Criminal Law and International Humanitarian Law (RCICL) will organize an international symposium on the most recent development of international criminal law in Beijing on 25-26 April 2009. CUPL team has been selected to participate in the 21st Jean-Pictet IHL Competition to be held in Evian Les Bains, France from 28 March-4 April 2009. This is the first time for a Chinese university to dispatch a team to participate in this globally renowned competition in the field of IHL.

CUPL team to participate in the Seventh Asian Pacific Inter-Universities IHL Moot Competition to be held in Hong Kong in March 2009 has been formed.

CUPL team to participate in the Second International Criminal Court Moot Competition to be held in the Hague in February 2009 has been formed.

Professor LING Yan will go to the International Criminal Court for a professional visit from January to April 2009.

Dr. ZHU Lijiang will continue to hold lectures for the optional course on IHL in bilingual mode for the undergraduates in CUPL in the Spring Semester of 2009.
